Here is an update on the happenings in our room.  Have your child tell you more!

Reading, Spelling and Vocabulary: This week we are reading A Trip to the Emergency Room in Unit 4. We had a very ptroductive break from Treasures to read The Story of Ruby Bridges, by Robert Coles (ISBN 0-590-57281-4). 

English: Students will need to review the sentence, nouns, verbs, adjectives, punctuation and capitalization

Math: We are working on Topic 11: Measurements. Students are learning to measure objects with standard and nonstandard units such as paper clips, string, and cubes. We will take out Topic 11 test on Friday.

Social Studies/Health/Science: We will continue a unit on the  Depending on Others in Social Studies.  Students will learn to describe the processes in which we acquire things that enhance our daily living.

 Living Museum Projects were due last week. This Wednesday, March 10, 2010 at 9 am, students will present their projects in the gym. Visitors are welcome.

Supplies: We are in need of white copy paper in the classroom.  Any donations would be greatly appreciated.
