Computer/Technology Skills proficiency is not an end in itself, but lays a foundation for lifelong learning. Building on the foundation created during the elementary computer program, middle school students will continue to build and refine their computer and technology skills to become better communicators, organized learners and better problem solvers.

CLASS DESCRIPTIONS:

Computer classes at the middle school level are designed to learn basic computer skills that will provide a good foundation for living and working in the information age. The emphasis will be on basic computer skills, problem solving, and reading/following directions.

• 7^th grade will study keyboarding, Internet safety, intermediate Word/Excel/PowerPoint, cross curriculum subject lessons, computer ethics, and will focus on time management and goals. Students will also have the opportunity to experience economics. This year the 7^th grade class will study basic accounting and economics as well as earning and spending
