Educational Philosophy

  I Believe that all children can learn, regardless of circumstances or perceived hindrances that may impede their confidence. Children can thrive academically when the learning environment is safe for them. children  need to feel the freedom to explore, question, and research in a place that I as their educator need to be aware  of my students' needs and that i need to be flexible in terms of my "program" so that the program does not become priorit over the student. Children learn best in an environment that is their. they need to feel ownership over their classroom and take responsibility in the classroom. Encouragement and praise need to be present to build the confidence of the students and a general attitude of "You can do it" needs to be maintained. The curricular areas should be taught in a manner that is devolpementally appropriate for the student,and assessment should be made regularly.

PROFESSIONAL GOALS

 I intend to continue to be a student throughout my career as an educator. My goal is to continue learn about what is current in education in term of methodology, learning styles, reform, and new concepts in teaching. As i continue to grow in my awareness of what it means to be an effective educator , as I well as my students wil be benefactors. I do not want to become idle as a teacher, rather , I intend to continually better myself  as an educator as i see the responsibility in the enormity that it is. Through working with colleagues, reading current eductional articles, attending profesional development confrences,I endeavor to widen my knowlegde base from which i will draw my teaching from.
