Education is not the filling of a bucket, but the lighting of a fire. -W.B. Yeats

Welcome

Welcome to a new school year at Wilder s Preparatory Academy. It is hard to believe that it is already time to get ready for another terrific year. I hope that you are having a relaxed, fun-filled summer. Various members of the school, Community and I have been busy preparing for your return by creating a variety of special programs in Physical Education and activities for your children this year. We’re also providing many opportunities for you to become more involved with your child’s experiences at school. By working together as a team, we can make this the most enjoyable and rewarding year yet!

The Sports & Health Program
each of these notebooks consists of twenty articles taken from popular newspapers. They are timely, interesting, readable and informative. Each article is 2-4 pages long and is accompanied by additional pages of questions and puzzles for students to demonstrate what they have learned. Complete answers are provided in a teacher section. An additional Health notebook dealing with the more controversial subjects of drugs, alcohol, smoking and sexual relations is also available.
