• Identify the eight parts of speech and use them correctly in a sentence.
• Identify the four types of sentences.
• Identify the parts of a sentence.
• Know the natural word order of a sentence.
• Write a sentence with subject-verb agreement.
• Know capitalization rules.
• Write a good paragraph with a topic sentence (beginning), details (middle), a conclusion (ending), and a minimum of 6 sentences.

Math

• Add with carrying.
• Subtract with borrowing.
• Read large numbers to the millions period.
• Multiply with 2-digit multipliers.
• Divide with 1 digit divisor.
• Recognize fractions and know the terminology.
• Add and subtract fractions.
• Reduce fractions to lowest terms.
• Write remainders as fractions.
• Add and subtract fractions with uncommon denominators.
• Read decimals and their place values.
• Add, subtract, multiply, and divide decimals.
• Recognize a bar graph and pictograph.
• Measure the perimeter and area of a rectangle and square.
