Language Arts Projects
This year in Language Arts we will be completing several projects. Projects count for 10% of your child’s Language Arts Grade. Our projects are based around the type of writing we will be working on. The project will include all steps of the writing process (prewriting through publishing) and a possible accompanying activity. More details about each project will be provided as they are assigned. (Dates are approximate)

Book Report Guidelines:
All book reports must follow these guidelines to receive a full score. Please see the rubric for more information.
- All book reports need to be based on books that have 200+ pages.
- All book reports must be at least two typed pages (12pt. Times New Roman, double spaced).
- One book report is due EACH MONTH on the last school day of the month.
1. Title Page:
You must have a title page. It must have the title of the book and the author. In addition, it will need your name (first and last), the date and your class and number. See the other side of this for an example.
2. Illustration:
You must include an illustration that enhances the report.
3. Required Information:
You must include description of the setting and main characters. Give a clear plot summary and include a well-reasoned opinion of the book.
4. Other Requirements:
All book reports must be neat and free of grammar and spelling errors.
