Happy Holidays!

I am sure we are all looking forward to the long break! Here are a few things to keep your child busy over the break. We have a Holiday Packet going home with your child on Wednesday. The packet has review information and a reading guide for Call of the Wild. Please make sure your child is working steadily on this packet.

Binder and Tests

On December 10th and 11th I did a binder check for all classes. Pleas be sure to check your child's binder for scores.

Reading Logs

Again, I want to remind students and parents that every sixth grader needs to be reading for at leasst 30 minutes every night. They need to document their reading by filling out reading logs each night. The reading logs are ten percent of your child's Language Arts grade, so if you see them reading, please have them fill one out. When I did the binder check recently, I noticed that far too many student have not been completing reading logs and I had to hand out several zeros.
