Welcome to Ms. Kennedy’s Fourth Grade Class where we strive for excellence. As your child’s fourth grade teacher, I look forward to a year of life long learning and growing, coupled with new experiences and exciting challenges. I enjoy teaching and seeing young minds explode with knowledge.

This year, your child will problem solve, breakdown word problems, learn to be critical and analytical thinkers, make inferences, read for comprehension, incorporate technology into learning, and have FUN while learning all of these facets of education.

We know that learning can only take place when there is a combination of effort, interest, and motivation. We believe that this agreement can be fulfilled by our team effort. Together we can improve teaching and learning. Parents, I strongly encourage active participation in your child’s education. Let’s remember that our primary goal is to educate the children, to better prepare them for the future. You are your child’s first teacher, and I am their second teacher, who reinforces what is taught at home to better suit them for the next level of learning.

I have great plans and expectations for a fabulous 2008-2009 academic school year. I look forward to a fantastic year of learning.
