Mr. Mackey is the 7th and 8th grade English Language Arts Instructor at Wilder's Preparatory  Academy Charter School. His classes are designed to incorporate academic rigor with a well balanced Language Arts program. All of the lessons, projects, HW and classwork are standards based and comply with the California Department of Education.

The major emphasis of this course is to promote the communication skills of all students through a balanced Language Arts program which provides for student growth through appropriate practice in listening, reading, speaking, writing and critical thinking.  The literature based units provide a framework in which student’s English skills to relate to the worlds past, present and future; including ideas, attitudes, ideals and values.  ELA meets the basic English requirement.
