Wilder's Preparatory Academy Charter School
WPACS offers a challenging and rigorous
curriculum preparing students to become lifelong learners. Through the
course of this development, our goal is to promote creativity,
encourage independence, and self - discipline, as students become
critical thinkers, problem solvers, and intellectual risk takers, in
establishing an enthusiasm for learning in a structured classroom
environment.
Wilder's academic curriculum consists of
Language Arts (reading, writing, speaking, listening, viewing),
Mathematics, Science (investigating, exploring, discovering), Social
Studies, Fine Arts (music, art, drama), Physical Education, and
Computer Technology.
Within the classroom, teachers plan
enriching lessons in all core subject areas. The curriculum is designed
to provide higher - level thinking, where making personal connections,
creative thinking, problem solving, and critical analysis are enhanced
through interactive activities, field trips, plays, special events, and
with a partnership with Brentwood School.
